Beauty And The Beast
Appropriate for grades K-8 and families.
Approximately 50 minutes long with original music and sound effects.
1 performance = $695
At the heart of this children's theatre adaptation is the gentle message: What makes a person truly beautiful? Here is the story of a young woman's honest and enduring love for an unsightly beast and the gift her kindness brings.
This small cast children's play, Beauty and the Beast is true to the vision of Charles Perrault's classic story. It tells of all that follows when a sea captain is captured by a beast while attempting to honor his daughter's wish for a single rose. With touches of fun and comedy, this adaptation is fast-paced and theatrically clever.
“Look deeply into others' beauty to find your happiness."
-- The Beast

Driving Miss Daisy
Appropriate for Middle and High Schools and families.
Time: aprox. 90 minutes.
1 performance = $650
The place is the Deep South, the time 1948, just prior to the civil rights movement. Having recently demolished another car, Daisy Wertham, a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two, is informed by her son, Boolie that henceforth she must rely on the services of a chauffeur. The person he hires for the job is a thoughtful, unemployed black man, Hoke, whom Miss Daisy immediately regards with disdain and who, in turn, is not impressed with his employer's patronizing tone and, he believes, her latent prejudice. But, in a series of absorbing scenes spanning twenty-five years, the two, despite their mutual differences, grow ever closer to, and more dependent on, each other, until, eventually, they become almost a couple. Slowly and steadily the dignified, good-natured Hoke breaks down the stern defenses of the ornery old lady, as she teaches him to read and write and, in a gesture of good will and shared concern, invites him to join her at a banquet in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. As the play ends Hoke has a final visit with Miss Daisy, now ninety-seven and confined to a nursing home, and while it is evident that a vestige of her fierce independence and sense of position still remain, it is also movingly clear that they have both come to realize they have more in common than they ever believed possible—and that times and circumstances would ever allow them to publicly admit.
The Red Badge of Courage. The Play is especially compelling to a young audience who can identify with young Henry as he struggles with his conscience. This play was professionally developed for Middle School and High School Audiences.
Time: 50 minutes with traditional Civil War songs and sound effects.
1 performance= $650

Will he fight bravely and honorably, or will he run away?
This small cast touring play presents
Stephen Cranes's powerful classic, adapted especially for young audiences.
It is faithful to the novel's story and language as Crane wrote it.

WHY DO FOOLS FALL IN LOVE?
Written and created by
ROGER BEAN
Appropriate for mature audiences,
corporate parties and fund raisers.
Four girlfriends gather to celebrate the upcoming wedding of one of their own. As the bachelorette party picks up steam, the girls discover more about each other’s love lives than they had ever imagined.
WHY DO FOOLS FALL IN LOVE? takes place in 1966. Millie is getting married in a couple of days, and is just recovering from her mother's bridal shower when she is surprised by two of her girlfriends, Sally and Florence, with food, booze and Dee Dee in tow (Flo's cousin from out of town: "We had to bring her along..."). As the drinking gets underway, loose lips begin sharing about each of their respective love lives, as well as Millie's upcoming nuptuals. Sally brings out a magic eight ball to liven up the party, but it leads to the revealing of well-kept secrets, and the fact that Millie's dreamy fiancé is nowhere to be found. Millie swears she'll find him and bring him back – her dreams of the perfect wedding won't be dashed because of something silly like a missing groom.
Act Two: Six months pass and the girls gather once again, this time to celebrate the engagement of Dee Dee to her longtime boyfriend. After the liquid refreshments begin flowing, we discover that Dee Dee's boyfriend is probably as bubble-headed as she; Flo is desperately in love with a co-worker who doesn't even know she exists; and Sally keeps loving and losing them faster than anyone can keep count. The true drama rears its head when Sally confronts Millie about her less-than-perfect marriage – Millie breaks down, and finally asks for help and forgiveness from her friends. Throughout it all, Sally, Millie, Florence and Dee Dee come to understand that no matter how bad love becomes, true friendship is always there to fall back on.
WHY DO FOOLS FALL IN LOVE? re-affirms that during real-life struggles, friendship will unveil its everlasting strength. And it does it with a real rockin' beat!
“Beehives, boys and breakups.
This nostalgic show mixes drama and ‘60s love songs for a lighthearted and winning mix.”
1 performance = $1200
